School and Host families

One of the things which usually surprise our students the most is the school and the houses. Víctor Rodríguez, Maria, Víctor Gúzman and Júlia were in charge of writing about it, here are their impressions.

In general, the host familes were really nice and they treated us as if we were part of the family.
The normal thing in Sweden is to live in a big house and normally they live far away from the city. Most students have to take the bus or cycle to school.
A lot of families live in a farm, so some of us could do some countryside activities like driving an agrimotor, riding a horse, going to the orchard and doing some really funny stuff.

The school was the thing that impressed us the most. First of all, when you arrive, you have to enter a password so you can go inside the building. Secondly, you have to take off your shoes and walk around just in your socks. The school doesn’t look like a Catalan school at all! They have a coffee machine for the students, board games, a kitchen and a guitar that you can play in your free time! They also have sofas so they can relax.

The canteen is not inside the school. They have to walk a few blocks to get there. This is very different too because they can choose what they eat and they drink. Oh! And they don’t drink water, normally they drink juice, water with different flavours or milk.

Everything was very weird but we loved it!!!
