Stockholm

Natalia, Andrea and Nerea were assigned the tast to write a report about our visit to Stockholm, and this is their text and images about their experience in the capital of Sweden.

The 19th of September, on Wednesday, we went to visit Stockholm. We picked up a train at the Nyköping station until Stockholm central.

The first thing we saw was the city Hall where the “Nobel prize ceremony” is held every year. It is a very big building, it impressed us a lot and we got the chance to go inside the City Hall Tower. It took us about 10 minutes to get to the top. From up there we could see all the city, it was so beautiful.

We then went to the Vasa Museum. The Vasa boat was huge and it's really well preserved. We also saw the body remains of the people that died in the ship. The Museum did reconstructions of how these people looked like, it shocked us to see that. We recommend go to there if you ever visit Stockholm.

After visiting the Vasa museum we took a ferry to go to Gamla Stan, the old town. The streets there where full of shops so we could buy thousands of souvenirs, well, not so many because everything was a little expensive. The shops had a lot of typical Swedish stuff and things from Norse mythology, related to the vikings. One of the things that could be seen in every shop was the red wood horse called “The Dalecarlian Horse”.

In conclusion, it was an amazing visit, we loved Stockholm. We would have liked to spend more time there, so we hope to go back as soon as possible.
