On Thursday morning we hiked from the school to the old anti-aircraft batteries. They are situated on top of the Turó de la Rovira, a beautiful hill near our school, in the Guinardó neighbourhood.
This place is an important reminder of the history of Barcelona, because the Republican armed forces of Barcelona constructed these anti-aircraft batteries on top of the hill to defend the city from the air raids of the Nationalists. The Museum of the History of Barcelona has conditioned the area and turned it into an open-air exhibition site from where visitors can enjoy a superb view of the city and the skyline of Barcelona.
Our Swedish friends really enjoyed this experience and they also loved the incredible sights.
