School trip to Montserrat (12th March)

On Wednesday we went all together, Spanish and Swedish students and teachers, to visit the mountain of Montserrat. We all met at our school and we went by bus to the mountain. The sun was shining, unlike the previous years, and the weather was nice, so we were all very excited!
At first, we took a funicular and climbed to the top station, an area known as Sant Joan. Once on the top station, we saw an exhibition about the mountain. Then we walked up to a lookout where we took a group photo. Afterwards, we hiked to Sant Jeroni, the highest point in the mountain, where we enjoyed the views. It was a bit foggy so we couldn’t see the sea, anyway we took lots of photos!
Then, we started to go down again and we stopped to have lunch all together in a part of our descent. We had some free time near the Monestir and we were able visit La Moreneta (a black image of the Virgin Mary).
Finally we returned to Barcelona, after a great day we will never forget.
